we peeesseye worker-bee-robot-slaves are happy to announce the newest blossom of marketable plastic drool. digitalis industries has delivered the goods on phase 2 & 3 of the 6 volume cassette series ‘robust commercial fucking scream’. vol 2, ‘live at tonic in nyc’, w/ special synth guests shawn hansen and stephen o’malley, offers a dank multi-layered sludge w/ deep rumbles and wraithlike scrapings. vol 3, ‘live at colour out of space’ in brighton england stumbles across a heap of trashed drone and downward spiraling lamentations of alien explorations and post lingual dribbles of unknown language.
we’re also plugging away at various projects, gigs and related mischief. here’s a quik rundown of the latest upcoming spasms.
Chris Forsyth has a solo tour in the UK (w/ Ignatz & Es), as well as some other European shows tba in late September/early October.
Jaime Fennelly & Forsyth will be conducting a two-week East Coast/Midwest tour in mid to late October, doing duo shows as the Brothers Peeesseye as well as some special collab shows with Nate Wooley and others. This’ll be the first Peeesseye-related US tour in over 2 years. Then, Peeesseye themselves will be hitting Italy, Austria, and Germany in November alongside the mighty Bob Corn. Pass it around….
Fritz has an exhibition at kuma galerie (www.kuma-galerie.com), novalisstraße 7, berlin 10115 in mitte running through august 28th. it features new drawings, walldrawings and a sculpture. there is also a permanent walldrawing in the guest room. on aug 22 he will act as an assistant to Clare Quilty, the elusive ceramicist from the Transatlantic Basin, in an aktion at Collision (www.collision.org.uk) in London. on september 14 he will perform whale songs with Seamus Cater at DNK in amsterdam. then he will be installing Humble the Stiff! a large work at argument (www.argument-tilburg.nl), korte schijfstraat 17 5038 SV tilburg, netherlands which opens sept 13 and runs simultaneously with incubate festival at which he’ll perform as humansacrifice on september 20 (www. incubate.org/2009). next is an installation and performances as part of OHNO COOPERATION’s The Tragedy of the Applause at Public Conditioning (www.laconditionpublique.com) in roubaix, france with concerts on november 26, 27 & 28 and exhibition running thru december 23, 2009.
