— PAINS —
First up, the new Pains Of Being Pure At Heart single “Come Saturday” is out next week on limited edition see-thru green 7″ vinyl and download with the exclusive B-side “Side Ponytail”. It’s available to order direct from us for for £3 (UK) or £3.50 (Europe) inc p&p by paypal to ministryoffinance@fortunapop.com. If you’re not in Europe you can buy the record from the Slumberland label in the states. Having swept the plaudits for her single on the WeePOP! label “Henry Rollins Don’t Dance”, with the Metro describing it as “Ace” and SoundsXP saying “it warms the heart to hear such simple, wonderful, quality pop like this”, Fortuna POP!’s latest signing Allo Darlin’ is taking time out of her hectic beer drinking/album recording schedule to play the Buffalo Bar this Friday alongside ex-Hefner main man Darren Hayman. It’s going to be a great night with an indie disco into the early hours so please do come along, there are still a few ticket left.

Talking of Tender Trap (see how this all links together seamlessly!) they’ve just been confirmed to play World International John Peel Day at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes in London on Saturday, October 10 (Doors 4pm), an event organised by a number of London promoters in memory of the great man. No tickets for this on sale yet, but put it in your diary and we’ll let you know when they’re on sale.
The Trap will also release the first fruits of their recording sessions with their new line-up as a two song download single featuring “Fireworks” and “Grand National” next month. More on that in the next mailout.
